Chartered Accountants
Chartered Accountants wishing to form a professional corporation must apply through the
ICAO and the Public Accountants Council. The ICAO has the forms and sample Articles of
Incorporation for incorporating. Basically the ICAO must approve the Articles of
Incorporation before you incorporate through the Ministry of Consumer & Business
Services. Remember to send them a copy of "stamped" Articles after
incorporating. You must also register again with Public Accountants Council of Ontario as

Lawyers
Lawyers wishing to incorporate their law practices must apply for a Certificate of
Authorization and a Corporate Name Certificate through the Law Society of Upper Canada and
comply with Bylaw 34. Applications may be downloaded or obtained by calling
416.947.3932. After approval, you may incorporate through the Ministry of Consumer &
Business Services.

Veterinarians
Veterinarians wishing to incorporate their practices must apply for a Certficate of
Authorization and professional name approval through the College of Veterinarians of
Ontario. Applications may be obtained online or through the College of Veterinarians
of Ontario at 519.824.5600 or 1.800.424.2856. After approval, you may incorporate
through the Ministry of Consumer & Business Services. The approved professional
corporation name is different than the accredited facility name.
